1. 0-5 Years (2025): Become an Autonomous College
Objectives: Achieve NAAC A+ accreditation and obtain Autonomous College status
Key Activities: Submit application for Autonomous status, enhance governance structure
2. 6-10 Years (2035): Attain National Eminence
Objectives: Launch interdisciplinary programs, increase admission and research output in the form of quality research papers and IPRs
Key Activities: Implement NEP, expand academic offerings, strengthen research capabilities
3. 11-15 Years (2040): Transition to Deemed University
Objectives: Begin construction of new facilities, upgrade existing infrastructure, focus on fund mobilization, brand building, and research output in the form of IPRs and startups
Key Activities: Diversify academic programs, enhance infrastructure, foster entrepreneurship and innovation
Deployment and Implementation
To achieve its strategic goals, SGCAS has outlined specific plans for deploying resources and implementing the Institutional Perspective Plan:
New Programs:The college plans to introduce 10 new programs in the first five years, 15 in the next five years, and 20 in the final five years, focusing on interdisciplinary offerings and diversification to support the transition to a Deemed University.
Infrastructure Development:SGCAS will construct additional buildings, classrooms, laboratories, and computer facilities to accommodate the projected student population growth and support the expanded academic programs.
Research and Innovation:The college aims to significantly increase its research output, secure patents, and incubate startups to drive innovation and contribute to the knowledge economy.
Financial Investment:SGCAS will allocate substantial financial resources for manpower, buildings, IT facilities, furniture, and other necessary investments to support its growth and development.
Human Resources:The college will hire additional teaching and non-teaching staff to support the expansion of academic programs and student enrollment, focusing on recruiting qualified and experienced professionals.
Decentralization and Participation
SGCAS employs a decentralized approach to institutional governance, encouraging active participation from various stakeholders.
